Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Question SDS shotguns

Anyone familiar with this brand? AIM sent an email advertising this shotgun. It looks like a Saiga and claims it will take Saiga mags.

https://aimsurplus.com/sds-lynx12-12-gauge-ak-shotgun/

I located a dealer that has them in stock about 50 miles from here for $50 more than AIM.

I don't own a shotgun and want one for home defense.

I believe SDS primarily imports from Turkey, if you don’t mind a muzzie made gun.

They also have a Benelli M4 clone that has good reviews on YouTube.

After some research I found that the Lynx is a chinese made Saiga clone. Saiga mags and some parts are interchangeable.

I like the detachable mag feature instead of a tube for the shells.

Chinese? Interesting. Was the China firearms and ammo ban rescinded? Maybe some importers figured out a loophole? I still believe those Saigas are the best mag fed semi auto shotguns.

IDK what is going on with the import of these shotguns. I do know that Russian imports are banned so no more Saigas for now.

I was at a small gun show yesterday and there was one Saiga there for sale. The seller wanted $1300 for it. I should have bought one years ago when they were $300-350.

Know nothing about the SDS, but got a Saiga in .410 and love the little beast.
If the SDS is even comparable, I'd get it.
$500 is a great price considering what Saiga's are going for.

I'd rather have a 410 but all SDS offers now is a 12 gauge. With my luck after I buy the 12 gauge they'll come out with 410s.

My son has a SDS Lynx 12 and it runs great now that it's broke in, there basically a Chinese copy of a Saiga 12.

During break-in oil them a lot, it helps. He also took a Dremel and did some polishing on the rails and hammer face.

The only mags he could get 100% reliability on where the 8 or 10 round Saiga 12 mags made by Csspecs, anything else was junk.

Had a large groundhog up back about 50 feet out from the deck near the wife's roses.... the Lynx 12 barked 3 times in around a second and Mr. groundhog ate 3 high brass #4 and is now taking a dirt nap.

I tease him about his Lynx 12.... I could easily see this thing on a Walking Dead episode.

Don't know if you're at on a Saiga clone or not, but I checked these out today.
These are RIA models

https://www.rkguns.com/top-brands/ar...tguns.html?p=1

I like the feel and weight of the VR60. Shoulders well and feels good, and priced at $449 @ sportsman's warehouse. Downside (if is is at all) all furniture is plastic.

The VR80 is a good bit beefier. Found it too heavy for myself to handle comfortably.
All furniture and barrel shroud is anodized aluminum. $649 @ SW

Comes with 5 rd mags with 10s available.
