Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Not a bad deal on a 2 MOA . I want one for the Ruger PC9.

That's only about 1/2 the price I paid for the Vortex that I put on the PC9.

My question is whether or not is it counterfeit or the real thing. The Romeo 5's have turned out to be 50% counterfeit & the fake ones are really hard to spot unless you know what to look for. Caveat Emptor!

Now that's a good question coming from Amazon where anyone can sell anything. I haven't ordered yet.

And the saga continues, Superior Outfitters has that exact Sig Romeo MSR FDE sight for $117.00 plus tax & shipping. I'll wager that this unit is genuine & the Amazon unit is a counterfeit item.

Amazon has played the bait & switch game with me & won, but it was not on a hi dollar sale, just rifle swivels & they are replaceable when they fail.

I am not trying to throw mud, just putting out information that will prevent one of us from buying a counterfeit item unknowingly. I hate getting burned.

100% Authentic. Mine was delivered the other day. Retail box sealed with sig's hologram stickers. Registered the serial on Sig's warranty registration page. Good to go.

Here's a link to a photo of the one I received.

If you buy a SIG Romeo 5, check the battery connector on the body of the counterfeit unit as it is different from the authentic battery connector. This is a proven authenticator as well as the illuminator diode inside the unit.

Check out the AK files optics thread for more exacting info.

OK.

So ...images would be somewhat helpful here...ersatz vs the real deal....

That is the exact video that I learned about my Romeo 5's from. Aviator actually got the hyperlink posted here for the rest of you guys to examine your RD's & see if you got a genuine or a counterfeit model.

Thanks for posting that Aviator!
