Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default I got a new paint gun

I always used either a high pressure or a HVLP gun when I was spraying kitchen cabinets I made.

Newer type of guns are available now. It's a Spectrum gravity fed HTE spray gun. I don't spray enough paint to justify a $700 DeVilbiss gun.

I haven't used HTE before but I'm anxious to use it.

I'm repairing a couple places on my truck. One spot I have a dent on the front passenger fender. I hit a large tree limb when I was going offroad on vacation last year.

The other spot is I have some rust above the rear wheel on the driver's side. I'm going to cut out the rusted metal and weld in a new piece of sheet metal.

I haven't held a spray gun in my hands in 45 years. I working in cabinets shops in my late teens & worked the spray room with old school Devilbis guns.

The gravity feed .vs the the old bottom reservoir just seems unwielding. I wonder if the plastic reservoir is meant to cut weight or just cost?

You can get HTE guns with suction reservoirs. Most people go with the gravity feed.

As for plastic, that's for cost cutting in manufacturing. You can get stainless steel gravity reservoirs for $$$.

I was thinking you got a new paintball gun to play with your grandkids with.
