Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Cryptocurrencys can be made to increase or disappear with a few well placed keystrokes on a keyboard.

Fukdatshit.

That's right, stay away from that shit unless you can afford to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It's not like I'm a big investor. I have $30 into Dogecoin right now. The only reason I don't have more is because it took a while for the brokerage app to approve my account. They are notoriously slow on the startup.

Absolute truth.

There was a period of about 600 years where Japanese currency was considered worthless by their people. The problem was, each new Emperor would devalue the previous one's currency to 10% of its original value and issue new coins bearing his likeness. The people lost "confidence" in their own government, and for that 600 year period the main form of currency was rice, along with some Chinese coins (the people having more confidence in China's government than their own).

In Babylonian times, bronze ingots with a representation of cattle were the currency of the day, each ingot/bar representing so many cattle...it was accepted as value only because everyone agreed it was of value.

As long as people have faith in cryptos, they will be worth at least something...until the bottom falls out as with the Weimar Government. Runaway inflation is caused, not by printing money, but by the complete loss of confidence by a people in their government...just ask Zimbabwe and Venezuela.

Even the SEC is recognizing crypto as a store of value. Government has to, otherwise they cannot collect capital gains tax on it, which they certainly do.

The more businesses that take crypto currencies in trade, the more valuable it will become as a store of value. Even gold can be worthless if someone is starving or dying of thirst. That ham sandwich or bottle of water then becomes priceless.

But if you are going to invest, don't do like that guy did above and put everything you have into it. He got lucky. Things could have easily gone the other direction for him.

Value of currency means what? Like buying a 69 Z28 for 500,000 dollars that once cost 2-3000 new. I guess that is investing? I don't see how anything has value when the few can manipulate the whole damn system. Someone told us our house was worth 225,xxx few years later it was 186,000 now its 250,000. All within 15 years.

Supply and demand takes over too. Housing market where I live is crazy as hell now. Lots of people moving here, even more than before. Homes that once cost $80K are now selling for $300K. $250K homes are selling for $500K. They're on the market maybe a week or two tops. Most of the land around here is built up already and too much water in the way so can't make too many more... they'll start building out towards Lakeland I guess...

Up this way in St. Johns County as soon as a decent house goes on the market a cash buyer scoops it up. There's a fellow on local news that's been trying to buy/finance a house for over a year and can't get one either newly built or previously owned because of cash buyers in St. Johns County.

There are many cryptocurrencies out there, now. One was created as a joke a few years ago. It is called Dogecoin. Their symbol is a little fat dog. On Friday, it was worth right around $0.03. Yesterday, it hit $0.46 before dropping down to $0.33 and bouncing up and down all day.

This time, I kicked in a few dollars - just because.

Think about it. What is your fiat currency actually really worth?
I heard its like going to a indian casino and playing the slot machines

I’m getting some soon. Don’t care if I’m late my 401k will get raided. Have to diverge. Diversify sounds too foofy.
