That wouldn't work here in North Florida as the fools would just push the bike home as they left a trail of blood & poo.

It is still a great method of entertainment to watch the would be thieves trying to steal them though. Hours of fun in different locations.

It was alot more fun to watch than the guys who would bolt a cable to a bicycle & hide it, then wait for a thief to come steal it. Tied to a tree or a post in the ground always put the thief over the handlebars & on their face on the concrete.

Interestingly enough, an English slang expression for a wanton
lass is "bike" because obviously both have been well ridden.
