Think I own about 20 Ak’s, built 2 only and got a good amount of kits sitting. Cheap ammo was always my attraction to them, that’s not case anymore, probably got 20k rounds 7n6, I should sell some off at today’s prices.

My first NFA was a 7.62 Krink pistol that I SBR'd. 10.5" of holy hellfire. I love it. But the last time I took it out the range had plywood partitions. Needless to say my barrel did not exceed the length of the plywood and I was done after 5 rounds. Even with double ear pro on it was too much. The concussion it created felt like a solid shove in the chest. Not the recoil. That is surprising soft as a kitten. But the concussion from the boom in such a small space Is to be felt.

I never found an AK rifle scuba diving or any other guns for that matter. Now, that said, every morning when I wake up, there is an AK rifle staring me in the face with that look of when we going to the range again?

Ever see the movie "Stand by Me" with the scene where the fat kid is under the porch digging holes, looking for the jar of pennies he buried? There were holes everywhere. That's me out in woods, digging holes, looking for all those steel drums full of AK's I buried.

I have Norincos and Poly Techs...they were cheap and work under all conditions.
Have shot them at -35F to see how they worked (fine). I like ARs and H&Ks too.

I just own one; a Zastava. Nice rifle. No complaints.
I really don't need or want any more AKs. I like the one I have. |

The AK47 with well over two hundred million variations produced worldwide is the most produced firearm in world history.

Their was a good show on Netflix showing what Kalashnikov had to go through in his designing the AK. I am sure Hollyweird took liberties in its production but it was probably close to on track to his work?
Yup they told him to stop wasting his and their time tossed him out of offices and then he entered the yearly military gun tests. Drop tests then dragged through the mud drop it in 10 feet of water etc. etc. and 'Bingo' we got a winner. ![]()

I bought a NIB Hungarian SA-85 with 3 mags, cleaning kit, sling & bayonet for $265.00 from SOG & a case of chicom ammo from Keng's with 1200 rounds for $89.00. That is the way it used to be back in 1985, too bad we can't find either of those for sale now @ any price.
