Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Cruise ships are petri dishes...

So my father (age 74) and my mother (age 69) just got back from back to back cruises. They took one cruise, then immediately got on their second cruise. They were asea for a total of three weeks. That's three weeks in close quarters with people from all over the country, or possibly...world, with all their germs, viruses, etc. Both parents were sick upon arriving home. My dad with pneumonia, and my mom with RSV (respiratory syncytial virus). Though my mother refuses to believe that being aboard two cruise ships for three weeks during cold and flu season had anything to do with them getting sick. This just adds to the number of reasons why I'll never take a cruise.

I remember in USMC boot camp, they told us right away that we're all gonna get sick with a cold. I went to Parris Island, SC so you had recruits from the midwest, the northeast, and the southeast, all with their native germs and viruses. After a week and a half, we all caught colds. Now take a cruise ship with far more native germs and viruses, plus the amount of older people, its a disaster waiting to happen. But my mother doesn't want to hear that "nonsense" as she's already planning their next cruise.

When I worked in a hotel, I caught every virus of the month/week that came in with the air crews we put up.

I can see that with cruise ships, people coming from all over the country and all over the world jammed into tight quarters.

I never got sick when I worked offshore, despite being in the same conditions, probably because we were a fairly homogeneous crew with everyone coming from Texas and Louisiana.

We never got sick when we were on the Caribbean Princess during a February cruise. They treated us very well with our names on the door to our state room and the food was fantastic...truly amazing. One thing I personally experience is that people can be self-centered disgusting pigs when they are all gathered together and have paid to get all they can get. On the last day though, there is someone elses name on your door, and the crew is basically telling everyone to get the EFF off their ship as fast as possible. They kiss your @$$ the first day and kick your @$$ the last day.

You get what you pay for. I personally would never go on one, but I have a friend who travel non stop who enjoys them. As he once told me there are different levels of cruise ships to choose from.

GF just returned from a cruise, came back with Covid. I said the same thing those ships are nothing but a breeding ground for disease. Covid almost killed me when I had it in 2021. I am staying far away from her. P.S. you could never get me on one of those ships.

My only 'sea Cruze' was on an Army MARS transport, Italy to NYC with special stops in-between...two major N. Atlantic storms and 2 weeks later explained 2 me in the most profound way why I didn't join the Navy. (Never Again, then or Now)!
A friend once replied to this story, "a man born 2 hang will never drown)!

No mention of air plane travel? It's even worse.

My parents drove to their departure spot. And planes can be worse as you're even more cramped, but nobody is on a plane for three weeks. At least no normal person.

I watched a show on people that live on them. Most all were round the world cruises and they just renewed the contract each year. They all said they loved it and did not want to get off.
High end suites 3 meals a day maid service stopping in different countries plenty of things to do. All single men and women retired of course and they damn sure were not on food stamps. $$
If they had business at home they most likely could get off in any country fly home then meet up with the ship at a later port. I would not mind doing that. Now about the money.

Here’s a pretty good explanation of cruise’s if you have a few moments to watch.
