My wife has a Charter Arms .22 mag revolver for around the house, it seems fussy about certain kinds of .22 mag ammo. The Mexican ammo has misfires in it, maybe a issue with the revolver.

Same with my .22 mag Marlin rifle bill. Certain ammo I can hit a quarter at 100 yds. other ammo not so much. Microgroove makes for a super accurate rifle from Marlin.
Might be a combo with your wife's pistol being fussy both ammo and maybe you need a new firing pin?
