Spring breakers go in for a dip: Great white shark caught at Florida beach
A great white shark was recently caught by a specialized fishing charter in Florida.
The remarkable catch was documented in a YouTube video uploaded by Big John Shark Fishing Adventures, which is the only land-based fishing charter that’s focused on catching sharks in Pensacola. According to KLEW, the CBS affiliated television station in Lewiston, Idaho, where the amateur shark hunters hail from, the group caught the great white shark last week and it took 40 minutes to reel in. https://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoo...ideo-pensacola Where do I live? 35 miles from the shark attack capitol of the world. Daytona Bch held the record for a bit now New Smyrna a few miles south of Daytona 'Volusia County' took over. Yup anyone wants to come down I will drive yah to the beach and watch yah take a dip. Good luck enjoy. New Smyrna Beach New Smyrna Beach in Florida is the shark attack capital of the world according to ISAF. It is estimated that anyone who has swam there has been within 10ft of a shark. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/22/us/fl...rnd/index.html

Sharks are all over Florida, except Sanibel Island, too many dolphins there, you actually have to watch out for them while in the water they'll move right close to people while chasing food and they can be dangerous too if they hit you accidentally. I have pulled a few sharks on my line, Hammerheads, Black Tip, Nurse Sharks, they all hang around here.

I've seen several drone videos of sharks swimming right next to the beach where people are in the water.
I've dove with sharks. Not on purpose, though. We had an agreement. They'd leave me alone, and I'd leave them alone. Barracuda are the ones that get me. Maybe because I had a 6 ft. one circle me while I was working, once. Bastards are known for attacking shiny objects and the brass rim around my faceplate was chrome plated.

Barracudas look menacing but they seldom attack anything larger than they are, they are very curious and will follow you and before you know there are ten of them just st sitting there in the water looking at you and trying to figure out which part is tastier.

Yeah. Solo, they really aren't a threat. It's when they pack up (or school up?) they start hunting. Much like wolves of the sea.

I've never felt so small as the time I jumped off the barge in the open ocean in 300 ft. of clear blue water. Pretty much like jumping off the top of the food chain.

When I was a teen, Jaws came out. Not a fan of sharks.
