Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Thumbs up Honey

1. Honey is the only food that has every single substance to sustain life.

2. Honey doesn't ever turn bad. You can actually eat honey that was found in Egyptian tombs thousands of years ago.

3. A single bee produces just HALF a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime. Hard work.

4. The darker the honey, the more powerful its medicinal properties and the less sweet it is. The inverse also holds true.

5. Honey is the original antibiotic. Its been used as an antibacterial and antifungal for generations.

6. Honey is a natural sleeping pill. Consuming honey aids with the production of melatonin. Drink a warm cup of chamomile with some honey. Game changer.

7. You don't need to wash your honey dipper if you leave it in the jar of honey itself. Honey is a natural preservative, so bacteria will not grow.

8. To make one pound of honey, bees need to visit 2 million flowers. 2 MILLION.

9. Honey is the only food made by an insect that's actually eaten by BOTH the insect and us. We're literally best friends.

10. Honey is one of the original remedies for an everyday cough & allergies. Local honey is said to be useful in curing seasonal allergies.

11. Bees don't sleep. Work hard. Play hard.

12. Honey is excellent on burns. Cool the burn in running water. Pat it dry. Apply raw, organic honey. It will speed up healing and even reduce any eventual scarring.

13. Babies under 12 months of age shouldn't ingest honey (their immune system isn't yet strong enough to handle a certain strain of bacteria that's in honey)

14. Honey, like a lot of "animal-based" products have a myriad of topical and oral applications that make it incredibly versatile. Natures all purpose drug.

15. The only honey I like is raw organic unfiltered honey. To pasteurize honey is to ruin the work of thousands of bees. You are literally a war criminal!

16. Honey is one of the best hydration sources in the world. Honey > Pre Workout.

17. Honey is natures moisturizer.

18. Royal jelly is a special compound that worker bees secret; so potent it can transform an ordinary bee into a queen bee. It's like a concentrated, supercharged version of honey.

19. The honey bee is a crucial part of our ecosystem. Without their help, over a third of all food eaten in America wouldn't exist.

20. Honey should be a key ingredient in shampoos. Cleopatra did it. Why shouldn't we?

21. Bees communicate with other bees by dancing. That's how they signal where the best flowers are.

22. Honey is a source of flavanoids and phenolic acids - antioxidants which have been studied to have incredible anti-inflammatory and even anti-cancer properties.

23. The hexagonal shape of honeycomb cells is a MARVEL. How did they know to use hexagons? Hexagons are the most efficient shape to store the maximum amount of honey with the least amount of wax needed to build. Geniuses.

When we eat honey we are NOT stealing from bees. Its a symbiotic relationship. We protect them from the harsh conditions of nature, giving them a safe space to have their fun.

They are so happy that they usually produce more honey than they could ever physically consume. By consuming their excess honey, we are actually helping them restore balance in the hive.

So yes, eat more honey.

I grow my own basil and bees love their flowers, there is probably 20-30 bees around the basil all the time, actually that's the bee picture I posted the other day, by the time basil puts out flowers it's already too big for good flavor but I'm letting the bees have a shot at it before I replant, it's too hot to do it now anyways.

Fried basil? no, actually I've never heard of it, we make our own pesto and I use it on Caprese salad (tomato, basil, mozzarella olive oil etc), on pizza and whatever I can put it on but I never thought of frying it. That's not Italian. Mamma mia!

Super good info on honey bees thank you.
Real big money on honey bees here in Fla. people who raise them and rent the hives out to the orange groves each season. $$$
Without Mr. and Mrs. bee you would have NO O.J. in the morning. Imagine breakfast with no orange juice? Yuk.

Most of that information on honey is completely new to me. Thanks for posting.

Not too long ago there was a lot of concern that honey bees were getting displaced by other species of hornets, wasps and Africanized bees. I'm not seeing any of that around here. Yeah... We have a lot of wasps and hornets but I still see lots of bees.

I don't think we have too many orange groves anymore 4th, that fruit fly killed the business and they all sold the land to developers. I remember Hwy27 was oranges up and down from Palm Beach to North Florida, not anymore, Last time I drove up it was one city after another and houses, car dealerships, shopping centers, everything is developed. Even I sold a large tract of land to a client up there in Felda, it used to be orange groves, they turned it into a mulch processing place.

Yup Vero Beach was the epicenter of the orange trucks hauling out. Damn it was one truck after another with O.J. plants galore. Hell all the way to Melbourne orange groves.
Then the drug dealers started buying the groves the bugs started eating the frost freezing and I have not been their in years to see.
Probably your correct developed. $$$$

Take a trip down 27 and you'll see. I freaked out the last time I did. I remember going up on 27 60 years ago and you could even smell the orange blossoms in the air. Nothing is left. There are just a few places now but it was oranges for as far as you could see, remember the Orange Tower or whatever it was called? you could get up there and see it all. Times sure have changed. Now we import oranges from Israel which are grown in Cuba I understand.

Five pounds of wild flower honey, lavender flowers, champagne yeast, and spring water makes five gallons of delicious mead.
