When I travel to rural Africa or any rural non Western area, I can eat delicious food, non stop and still lose weight. I've said this many times.
Carnivore diet is wonderful for pre-diabetics, as eliminating the carbs eliminates a majority of their problem, that being excess insulin production, weight gain and cellular insulin sensitivity. But I'm telling you, from experience, our food supply is the problem. It's not just carbs, and it's not just processed foods. A fucking chicken breast is not just a chicken anymore. It's fed with corn by products, grown by Monsanto, and treated with nitrogen compounds made from natural gas and crude oil. The chickens we all eat ARE treated with, and contain: Aminoglycosides Bambermycins Beta-lactams Ionophores Lincosamides Macrolides Quinolones Streptogramins Sulfonamides Those pretty and insane leftist women who insist on everything organic are skinny for a reason. They don't eat this shit. I can't put it any other way, this is the greatest health threat mankind has ever faced. Just look around and you know I'm right. |

Yes, we are all on a diet here so we can help him. I've lost close to 50 lb now, I keep putting holes on my belt.
The guy just delivered the lift for the pool but it needs a battery (maybe) and a charger which come up to about $500 but it's only rated to 300 lb, I'm debating if I should spend that much just to try it out, it's new, never been used the company had it to qualify during inspections but never used it and a friend of ours was doing some work there and he was told to junk it. I'm going to try the charger first and see. The darn thing is worth about $15,000.00 and they still sell the same unit. There is still some juice in the battery so it may be rechargeable. 24Volt 10 Amp battery The Pal 1000: https://www.activeforever.com/pal-10...atic-pool-lift

I befriended an elderly lady at MVP club. Real sweet lady; probably in her 90's. She walked laps in the pool every day. She told me that on land she was confined to a wheelchair and a walker but in the water she was "free", mobile and active. She absolutely loved it. |

At the hospital therapy center they have a hanging system attached to rails on the ceiling and they can adjust it according to your weight, he's working with 30% off his weight, he also did about 10 minutes on the treadmill today. That place has every piece of equipment you can think of, not one but several, big building, millions of dollars in equipment all part of University of Miami.

well yesterday our private therapist had him on the bars but told him to let go and grab the walker, he slowly walked up and down the strip using the walker and actually lifting his feet to take steps. I also managed to get the pool lift working, I afro-rigged it of sorts but with my previous knowledge of electronics it's all safe and working so I will be turning the heater on for the pool tomorrow, takes a couple days to bring the temperature up and that will allow him to do more walking with less weight on the legs but the outlook is good so far. Two months ago he was barely able to move his feet now he can take steps.

While on the subject of the lift, we found out the $300 battery is a ripoff, just because it sits in a box labeled "medical equipment", opened it up and it had two $29.00 12V batteries inside hooked up in series, so I took a short drive to Battery Plus and bought them, $60 with tax and the manufacturer wanted $300. and so it is with the medical business.

$300 for a pair of 12v batteries? I’m in the wrong business.

Just because it's "medical equipment".
One more update just minutes ago, he is at the therapy center at the hospital, he was able to get up from the wheelchair, use the walker and get in and out of a car with no help. |

We have this Cuban therapist who came highly recommended by two people we know and he comes three sometimes four times a week, he knows his shit and he's getting him to do things, The folks at the hospital were surprised today and didn't believe him when he said he could walk by using a walker. Two and a half months ago he could barely move his toes but he's working at it really hard. Just wait until I get him in the pool.
