Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. Hungarian AMD65 are good.

ChiCom MAK90 are better. Best, smoothest Trigger on any military arsenal built AKM.

I have an AK74 built on an Interarms receiver. I really like the 5.45 cartridge. It has a fixed wood stock on it currently, but would like to find a reasonably priced side folder wire stock to put on it. I had a Tantal kit I put together along time ago. It had one of those side folder stocks, really liked it.

The side folding 100 series, AK74 stocks, are great. Tight lockup both open and closed and very ridged.

The add-on stocks designed to replace the fixed AK stock and kinda look like the 100 series side folding stocks are no more than...trinkets.

The next build in my que is a Bulgarian AK74 that originally was a plum fixed stock, but is being converted to a triangle folder & built up on a Childers receiver with a Green Mountain C/L barrel.

This kit was bought probably 10 or more years ago, but stashed till I retired. Now that Joe & the ho have stopped importation on Russian 5,45 x 39 ammo, the future of these rifles is not good for the average shooter.

Being the ammo whore that I am, I stocked up on this caliber very well back in the day when it was cheap.

Seems like a very adequate explanation to me.

Good article I read on the 5.45X39 a few days ago. I guess? most all the commie bloc has switched to the round? Their words? lighter, shoots farther. Most all their spec. ops guys for the most part still like and kept their 7.62 as it has better penetration and knock down power.
Most of their is up close and personal hence no need for the range cept their sniper teams I guess?? Millions of AKs went into storage.
Wish they could send those old clunkers here if their not gonna use em. My observation last trip on the Thai, Cambodia border was our old Nam era M-16s for the Thais and mostly Russian AKs for the Cambodian troops.
Their still going strong.

The 7.62x39mm round does quite well in the rife designed to fire it. Its a good intermediate cartridge and is probably the most prolific cartridge in the world. Combloc sniper rifles MOSTLY center around the 7.62x54, rimmed, round though. Which is extensively used also in light COMBLOK machine guns. And is the "oldest" round still in military service. Special forces in China and Russia...use whatever they need and want to use in small arms.

Surprised someone hasn't come out with an AR chambered in 7.62x54r, but I suppose it's the fact it's a rimmed cartridge

That reminds me; I need to get my AK toys out soon and burn some of the 7.62 and 5.45 ammo I started stockpiling when Ozero was in office.
