Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Blue crabs that is, not the other kind.
6.5 dozen in about 3 hours on my first trip out this season.
Sure tasted good.

Good catch GBob. I had to quit here on the St. Johns the frigging tourists thought my traps were like free pickens.
Buy bait gas the boat stink the boat up drive out check the traps and if I was lucky the traps were still their. I gave up and buy em locally.
Good crabs on the St. Johns on a good day 2 dozen nice ones no problem.

People do not respect private traps. Years ago some people got shot here for taking lobster traps from legitimate fishermen who make a living at it.

When I lived in Morgan City, Louisiana a bunch of Vietnamese refugees disappeared after traps started disappearing. Traps stopped disappearing.

What kind are they? They sort of look like Blue crabs.

Whoops, just caught your caption under the pic. Those are some fine eatin' crustaceans, too bad I can't find them in Lake Michigan.

When I was a kid we use to tie a raw chicken leg to a string and slowly pull it up and net the crabs before they jump off near the surface. You could of netted 10 in a couple of minutes like that, not sure if that’s still the case.

That's how they were caught. 4 hand lines w/chicken legs and 2 hoop nets.

If you fry them it works for netting ghetto sluts too.

Good eatin'.

I'm hoping that the Blue Crab Festival happens this year just south of us on Memorial Day. It was cancelled last year because of china flu.

Our local crab festival, outgrew our small town and park. They moved it down the road 15 miles about 5 years ago. They've turned it into a big production, just doesn't have the same feel anymore. I quit going, so it can remain cancelled as far as I'm concerned.
