That's also true if a scope or even iron sights should get broken. But the Aimpoint is about as close to being a 100% reliable sight as any made. I haven't heard of any getting broken and the rifleman still being able to fire the rifle. The battery cap for mine carries a spare battery. But I'm still on my first battery. I can't remember how many years I've owned mine.
I do have flip up iron sights on mine in case something would happen. Not really necessary for me though. I don't plan on getting in any firefights in the near future.

My Aimpoint M2 arrived today...what a chunk of glass. Looks like it will be fun getting that rubber cover on over it...

My Aimpoint PRO came today. Already got it mounted. I like it.
The mount has a finger knob on it that can't be overtightened. It gets just so tight and then the knob ratchets like the gas cap on a car.

It took some pulling but that rubber armor was going on!
![]() ![]() ![]() I believe I will go ahead and mount it on an MP5 for now...But I think it is going to end up on an AK74SU or an AK74M. |

I ordered it today.
![]() It wasn't part of the "package," I ordered. If...I was going to keep it on a subgun...I would not think of installing one...but...it is prob going to see duty on Krink or an an AK74M. The longer "reach" of the AK74, seems, to call for it. I just mounted it on an MP5-40...seems to like it there... ![]() |

I would also like to have in 10mm... All I would need is a 10mm barrel and that .40SW would become one. Hmmmm, my own five and dime... But...in .40 S&W...it seems to work just fine.
