My wife cooked
for me chicken cordon bleu for dinner today. Along with collard greens, oven baked Seminole pumpkin and sourdough bread. It was so good.
The first time that I had veal cordon bleu was while I was stationed in Germany back in the 60s. I crave cordon bleu but don't get it very often.

Cordon Bleu, I like that stuff, takes time.

Maple Leaf frozen Cordon Blue aren't bad when you just can't do without.

There was a little Imbiss snack stand outside the gate of our Kaserne that sold a chicken cordon bleu sandwich. They sold out every day, they were so good. All the sandwich was was the frozen then deep fried cordon bleu on a fresh baked brotchen (roll) with pickles. Simple, but oh so tasty, especially after a night of alcohol fueled adventures.
