Now I for one do not believe that voting will make any difference. If DeSantis believes he is untouchable he is deluded; they can do the same to him they did to Trump. If DeSantis does not know this reality he is a fool. Therefore, I would rather see DeSantis remain the Governor of Fla as the States are now the only protection against this authoritarian Federal Government. Now the states are very limited protection that will soon also be eliminated but at least we will buy a few more years. In the mean time, who is POTUS will mean very little as the inevitable elimination of any opposition to the dem party marches forward. Trump will be in prison or dead so I doubt he will be able to run and Biden will be reelected with 90% of the vote.

Pretty disturbing that he changed a law yesterday that allowed him to run. We have had a long standing "resign to run" law in Florida. He signed that away to allow him to remain governor while running. Not happy about that move.

DeSantis is a more effective national leader as Florida's Governor than he would be as POTUS. As POTUS, he'd be every bit as hamstrung as Trump was. At least as governor, he can show the country that the individual states can be stronger than the feds.

But, since every politician is a sociopath, his ego won't let him think otherwise.
