Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

I bet it's going over $50K, with that letter attached, the original parts and holster, it is a beauty for a serious collector.

With that provenance and history it will probably ignite a bidding war. Just the belt and holster is worth big $$$...add in the nickle-plated wheelie it will be crazy money.

My guess? It will see well over $350,000 plus with that history and condition plus the holster with it.
I bet a case of beer.
In my readings he got the name 'Bat' from when he started using his cane to bat bad guys over the cranium rather than choot them? He was one of the bad ass gunslingers but the dime novels overlooked him and others got prominence.
Ending up a journalist writer in N.Y. city.

Spinz

If he’d gotten the notoriety he’d have gotten a bullet in the back of the head like Hardin or Hickok.

I accidentally found myself looking at Colt's website the other day, and they had a reproduction of the same pistol called, "The Longbranch". It had a $20k+ price tag on it. So, yeah, I bit it goes for 6 figures.

Without a doubt I bet high six figures also Sanders. With our present leaders in D.C. doing their best to make the American dollar less valuable than Scotts toilet paper people with money are looking for investments.
American western history has always interested lots of people from European countries. That auctions phones will be buzzing with bids from far off distant lands.
Hell I am guessing my $350,000 is low ball now? I have to call and see if I can put it on lay away?

At least that. I'm guessing quite a bit more.

I had to stop bidding at $400,000. 2015 it sold for $96,000 at auction. Someone made a smart investment.
