Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Anyone know anything about Citadel 1911?

They are made in Philippines by Armscor

IIRC that is the Same as Rock Island Armory 1911s

Nothing wrong with a Citadel 1911. My son has a 'Officer Pistol' (3.5" barrel), and he's had zero issues with it.

It has all the options my full size Springfield Armory 'Loaded Model' has, except for the ambidextrous safety...and his cost $300 less (at the time).

If I were looking for a budget friendly 1911, I'd seriously look at Citadel.

A Citadel 1911A1....is a good solid piece of 1911A1 Pistol. Forged steel lower and upper...GI parts interchangeability...(always a factor.) I was just getting ready to snag one...sold out....

Things are kinda dry...out in the boomstick market....at the moment. When if you find something that is interesting...buy it. If you dont.....the guy looking over your shoulder will.

Its just how things are.......

That's a good thing, should the fun shop still have one of those Citadel's on hand, when you go back to check.

I bought a Sig P365XL about 2 months ago, and I'm having a hard time finding 9mm Luger ammo for it. I have around 500 rounds for it, but they're all FMJ and mostly steel case ammo. I can't find any Hornady Critical Defense rounds for it.

A friend has a local fun shop and last I heard, he got in 5000 rounds of the WWB 100 round 'party packs'. Last I heard, he had around 3K left (2 weeks ago). However, they're selling for $48 per 100 round box (normal price is around $24 per 100 rounds). I bought 3 boxes, kept one box and sold the other two to a coworker. He can't find any, in the town he lives in.

Look over on Cimarrons website. They are offering 1911's as well as 1911A1's. Replicas of course. Their quality.....is #1.

I was looking at those awhile back

The Cimarron 1911 is made in the Philipines by Armscor, the same makers of the Rock Island brand and others. A detail that stands out on the Cimarron 1911 is its minimalist markings. It seems a lot of the newer 1911 makers have huge billboard letters on the slides to advertise the maker, but the Cimarron stays true to the subtle style of the original Colts.

The 1911's from the PI.....all have forged steel frames and slides. No investment castings. Not that investment castings are bad.......just saying.
I have a 1911 from rock Island. Sweet, tight and a good shooter. I dont really care for the billboard advertising on the slide. But for the $$$ the only other thing was the funky grips....which I replaced with a set of walnut double diamond grips. Those improved the look 100%.
