Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Your horse your dog and your gun: The Life Of A Frontier Gunsmith - An Interview With Mike Miller

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpNMmKL2vkg

Mike Miller master gunsmith of 18th century gun making. Your horse your dog and your gun determined how you were looked at in society when you rode to town in the 18th century.
I am saving my lunch money to buy one of Mr. Millers guns.

No I did not see that 44044. Hell I can't walk in the house barefoot.
Damn I would give a weeks pay to hang with him for a day and ask a million questions till he told me to GET OUT. Interesting they had a PSA type supply back in the 1700s.
Barrels they bought from Philly and Europe brass parts triggers etc. from foundries in other cities. Available and to time consuming to make themselves.
Those old weapons could be scabbed together from numerous different countries manufactures.
Our local gunsmith museum here. Mr. Peterson was good friends with Jim Bridger, Buffalo Bill and loads of the old mountain men who he made weapons for.
Left the Rockies and retired here in Florida in his senior years.
MT Dora Florida down the road from me.

ADD: A good long rifle in 1775 was around $12.50. Around $$245 in today's money.
