Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Results of a 4 Year Handgun Red Dot Study by Sage Dynamics

I only have a red dot on one pistol, and that's a Ruger 22/45 bull barreled target pistol. It is so accurate, it is almost boring to shoot.

I don't know that I'd want to carry a pistol with a red dot on it for EDC. I like streamlined. I like low-profile iron sights. I don't see how I could make a red dot comfortable for a carry pistol. But they are getting smaller all the time.

Seems like a laser sight would produce more accuracy than a red dot, though.

Quote:
In short, quality modern red dots are durable, handgun mounted red dots allow the shooter’s focal point to remain on target, and handgun mounted red dots drastically improve accuracy.

In self defense handguns are good for what?...up to 25 feet? I don't need a red dot for that, any shot longer than that I'd go for a longer barrel or run the other way.

Because that's where my shotgun is!

If LaserMax is still in business they replaced the guide rod with one that has a laser in it so it is automatically coaxial to the bore. It also does not increase the outside dimensions of the pistol. It was probably too good of an idea to succeed.

I thought handguns were illegal.

I was going to say that there are guide rod lasers, rear sight lasers, lasers that fit in the grips, etc. If you want one you can get one that adds nothing to the weigh/bulk of the pistol.
