Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

These two I took at 5:20 Am. I went to pee and looked outside, oh why not? I had a problem focusing, didn't have my reading glasses on and had a problem getting the settings right, but not bad for a first time picture of the Milky Way.

Nice pictures. Looks like you're getting the hang of the new camera.

I like the Milky Way photo.

Great Milky Way photos. Those are the kind of pics I expect to see from high in the Rocky Mtns - not from sea level.

It could have been better if I would have been 100% awake.

The thing about Florida beaches, no lights are allowed on the beach side after sundown because of turtles and this is the time of the year for them to lay eggs, lights have to be out so they don't get disoriented thinking it's the moon.Total darkness I could even see the Milky Way with my eyes, unfortunately there was a palm tree and another building that didn't let me go down enough over the horizon and I wasn't going to walk down to the beach and get eaten up by sand gnats and mosquitoes so I just set up on the balcony that faced south and did my best. ISO 4,000, 8 sec exposure, f3.2, 50 mm lens. Nikon D750. I took a few, these were the best two.

Nice sunset shot, the time of day to have a couple of drinks and wind down.

Somehow we went through a couple bottles of wine in two days, it was just three days to unwind before daughter starts a hectic summer term with 12 hour shifts at her clinical rotations and a few classes in between. But so far the kid has a 3.65 GPA, even Pharmacology, the hardest class she passed with a B.

Not many people have heard of Manasota key, that's what I like, the beach is pretty much empty and quiet, good clear water, fine sand, fish galore, we had 12 inch fish swimming around our feet, plenty of wildlife around. We've been in love with Sanibel for the past 43 years but we just cheated on it, we may even get a divorce from it. Only drawback, no stores and only three restaurants but they are very good, with live music, old country rock and roll style, but you get off the island and in five minutes you find a Publix, ten for Home Depot. One of the guys playing we knew from Key Largo, even bought his CD at one time, He stopped in mid performance and asked who was a veteran, he came to each table shaking our hands and thanking us. My wife remembered the guy's name, I didn't.
