Think about it, though. Your .36 round ball will be a lighter, fly faster and straighter with less drop than a .44 or .45 round ball.
I actually zeroed my Ruger Old Army at 75 yards, and that's with a .457 round ball. It shoots much better with real black powder than synthetics at that range.
