Sig Romeo MSR FDE $79.75
|
Not a bad deal on a 2 MOA . I want one for the Ruger PC9.
|
That's only about 1/2 the price I paid for the Vortex that I put on the PC9.
|
My question is whether or not is it counterfeit or the real thing. The Romeo 5's have turned out to be 50% counterfeit & the fake ones are really hard to spot unless you know what to look for. Caveat Emptor!

Here is the actual seller http://www.superiorgunshop.com/categ...-lasers-lights
anybody knows about them, Superior Guns in Texas. |
And the saga continues, Superior Outfitters has that exact Sig Romeo MSR FDE sight for $117.00 plus tax & shipping. I'll wager that this unit is genuine & the Amazon unit is a counterfeit item.
Amazon has played the bait & switch game with me & won, but it was not on a hi dollar sale, just rifle swivels & they are replaceable when they fail. I am not trying to throw mud, just putting out information that will prevent one of us from buying a counterfeit item unknowingly. I hate getting burned. |
I purchased one six months ago. It says SIG on it?

If you buy a SIG Romeo 5, check the battery connector on the body of the counterfeit unit as it is different from the authentic battery connector. This is a proven authenticator as well as the illuminator diode inside the unit.
Check out the AK files optics thread for more exacting info. |

So ...images would be somewhat helpful here...ersatz vs the real deal.... |

That is the exact video that I learned about my Romeo 5's from. Aviator actually got the hyperlink posted here for the rest of you guys to examine your RD's & see if you got a genuine or a counterfeit model.
Thanks for posting that Aviator! |
