I was using the double loop Trilene knot but a pain in the ass to tie.

Thanks 4thIDvet, I just bought two of them. One for me and one for my ladyfriend that loves to fish. I too spend intirely too much time fooling around trying to tie a hook to a line.

I started out using the clinch knot but found that the palomar knot was faster and stronger. It's all I use now.

Hasn't anyone ever used a needle threader?...

I try when I have to sew, but I only have one and a half eyes, and my depth perception sucks. Needle threaders barely help.

I thought of it after I saw this. I just switch from sunglasses to reading glasses when I need to tie a hook.

Geez Fred I have sunglasses with magnifying lowers on them. Damn If yah want them send me a P.M. and their yours. You keep the sunglasses on and can see the little hooks.

I'm gonna teach that to my granddaughter when she comes this summer. She loves to fish and lose hooks. She is old enough now to safely replace them by herself.

Depends on the line I"m using as to what knot. I use Improved Clinch, Palomar, and Snell Knots.

That is a handy gadget for a windy day. And it would be even better for ice fishing.

I might have to order a couple.

Nah, I don't do a lot of fishing anymore and If I go on my son's boat it's for big game using the outriggers and large hook/bait/line. Thanks for the offer. The way my back is lately I don't even want to put up with a 30 mile boat trip to get out there.
