Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Question Anyone like Talipea.

My God.. No limit on them here.. Young fellers next-door are going too the springs and gigging a hundred pounds a night..
Not considered a game fish, no limit..
Actually "Nile Perch" Vegetarians.. $5.99 to $6.99 a pound in the stores here from China, farm raised, yeah right..
Talapia tastes like filet of sole, cooked properly..
They go out at night with a small generator, lights and long spear gig them.

" Definition: This small, low fat fish originally comes from Africa where it has been used for thousands of years. Recently it has become one of the most important "aquaculture" fish in the world. Tilapia are grown in large farms and produced for mass consumption. Tilapia is a white fish with a slight pinkish color. It is an excellent fish for grilling and broiling."

O.K. Pogo.. The Marines were waiting for you at the dock for gator hunting. You never showed up, slept in.
You can handle this one. Get yourself back down here...
Talipea do not bite..

Mr. J.R. Simplot built a big facility to raise Talapia.
Spent a couple mil. on the program.
His returns were so poor he got out of it after a couple years.

Now he has passed and Talapia has become real popular.
Mybe he shouldn't have quit so quick,

Hard to compete with china on it. Only fresh I ever see come into the store is from Honduras, & Ecuador.

Seen a segment of Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe @ a fishery in commiepornia. It said the first grow stripped bass then add the tilapia after harvesting the stripped bass so they eat 60% of the fecal matter. I figure the crap from china is eating human waste.

I like to use it instead of chicken for the Zatarans Caribbean rice, some times a bit of crab or shrimp to.

I showed a local property once that had a tilapia farm on the backyard. There is the "Wild Caught" variety which tastes better

Living a thousand miles from any ocean, I am leery of seafood unless I can buy it at the docks.

I sure won't buy any fish imported from Asia, or farm-raised anywhere else.

Same here.. Soon as it says Orient on the package, I heave it back in the store cooler..
s on screens over the top of the fish pond, make for some free food for the fish.. Fine dining..
Living on the Saint Johns river, which they cleaned up a bit.. We have the advantage of many species of fish to catch and eat..

Just can't stand Tilapia. I've had it cooked several different ways, always the same for me...Uuuck.
I'll stick to my catfish, bass, and redfish

There's A Local Grocery Store Where I Can Buy Whole, Fresh Tilapia, For About $1.50 A Pound, And They Even Will Gut, Scale, And Clean It For Me Too!

Pretty Good Meal When Cooked Whole In The Oven.

I don't care for Talipia. I'd just as soon eat a 30 lb Carp. Don't care for Bass either.

I mostly prefer freshwater fish caught in very cold water such as Northern Pike, Muskellunge, and Walleye. I also like Bluegill and Crappie caught in the Fall or Spring.

For saltwater I like Snapper, Grouper, and Mackrel if freshly caught.
