Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

You might want to spend $15 or $20 on some Hogue rubber grips to empty out those factory rounds. Your wrist will thank you for it.

Best idea is to set each tool head up with its own powder thrower so you dont have to be buggerizing around with powder calibration when you change between calibres. Its a few extra bucks but well spent.

650 is the best choice IMO, you are about to have shiploads of fun mate.

There are some really good you tube vids on setting up the 650 and converting between calibers and primer sizes and such. I found some of those more informative than the original dillon dvd that comes with the press.

I would not have even considered going to u tube for information. Thanks. Great idea and good info. I am going to spend a chunk of cash on having the reloading setup I should have purchased years ago. Better late than never....

I have a model 28 in .357. It was made back when they still made recessed cylinders and pinned barrels. I enjoy shooting it more than I do my .44s. I've also got the wooden display box for it.

At one time I owned three Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 revolvers. All with 8 3/8 inch barrels. I used them mostly for hunting and at long range steel target matches where a fair amount of money used to change hands.

In my experience I found these half-lugged 8 3/8 inch barreled revolvers to have the finest natural balance of any handgun I have ever owned and used often in my entire life! The balance is absolutely superb; and, no internet gun forum bullhooey, I did some of the best long range shooting I've ever done with a pistol with this particular gun; and that is, 'Why' I ultimately ended up owning three of them.

I'll only add this: The main reason, 'Why' I always did so well with this particular pistol was that anytime the shooter I was competing against was using a Blackhawk/Redhawk revolver — Even when I KNEW the other guy was as good a shot as I was — I still KNEW that I could beat him because the factory trigger on my Smith was just a little bit better, a little bit smoother, and a little bit easier to let-off than on whatever Ruger the other guy was using! Whenever we began to shoot at, 'serious distance' (100 - 200 yards) I KNEW I had the edge; and, as things turned out, I usually did.

By the way, if you get one then you're going to need a shoulder holster.

So...jehovas are not permitted firearms? That may become a useful tidbit at a later date.

That's why my Father in law got rid of his collection -- not because he converted, but because my Mother in law did and he didn't want her giving them to the cops in case he kicked it first.

Mate, that is a thing of beauty! Are you sure its not a Model 27? Sorry for questioning but 28s were usually a matt finish, unless yours has been polished & reblued, in which case its a brilliant job!

Mine is a 28-2 so it is recessed & pinned as well. Mine is nice to shoot too but I really miss the bigger calibres & when you cant have something it only makes you want it more!

That's an S&W factory finish; and it's obviously a Model 27 with a target: hammer, trigger, front and rear sight, and Goncalo Alves stocks.

Well, I'm extremely jealous. The 27 is the pick of the litter in S&Ws 357s.
I've seen a number of 28's polished and tarted up to look like 27's but the fine filework on the top strap was a bit of a give away. I would like to own that revolver!

The postman dropped off my Model 629 Classic earlier. That is a chunk of iron.
