Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Best Deer Shot Placement From Every Angle.

We’ve all heard or told the joke that the best place to shoot a deer is as close to the truck as possible, but knowing where to shoot a deer is the foundation of ethical hunting and ensuring the recovery of your downed animal

I am 100% in favor of hunting but I myself do not hunt. Hell I even catch and release when fishing then go to the store and buy fish.
But this explains quick kill of a deer and its kind of new to me. I always thought shot placement a bit higher than is posted here but the experts say no?
Good hunting good luck hope this helps.

I just started deer hunting a couple years ago, so there's much I don't know. Right now, I've only taken ONE deer.

I agree with you. Humanely and safely putting down the animal is the top priority. If I don't have a PERFECT shot, I don't take it. That explains my low success rate, but at least I'm not wounding animals like one of my dirt bag neighbors. Last winter I tried to euthanize a deer on my property that he'd wounded. It got away from me.

I've seen these kill charts before. Yes. The target placement does seem a little low, but the information is consistent everywhere I look. On my first (and only) deer, I took a perfect broadside shot with a 12 gauge slug, while stalking at maybe 30 meters. My shot was slightly high and into the shoulder. The deer, nevertheless; went down immediately.
