Having reloaded for over 45 years I've never been a big fan of extruded stick powders, I use spherical ball powders for rifles and flake powder for .357 Mag pistol.

Interesting article.
My Nam buddy Fred worked as a fireman for 25 yrs up in Perry Florida 'Saint Marks' at the powder factory and told me they make extruded powder.
They sell all over the world. Hell that Russian ammo we buy might come from their? Up until a few years back if you bought their powder you were firing WWII surplus powder. Mixed in water then shipped by rail from storage out west. Refurbished at St. Marks then off to us. Guess who owned the storage facility and got rent from Uncle Sugar since WWII?? Lady Bird Lyndon's wife. How convenient. $$$
