Going hunting!
Got this in e-mail:

Now I have to wait until the end of October for my deer hunt, and the first week of December for the elk hunt.

THAT will help the old freezer stay cold.
Now practice that reloading technique untill it's automatic. That second shot may be critical! |

They had leftover tags for my mule deer muzzleloader hunt.
Wife said she'll go with me and try to get one. She wants a full freezer. I just have to teach her how to shoot left-handed, now, since her right shoulder has had so many reconstructive surgeries. We don't want to take a chance on recoil dislodging one of the anchors. So, I'm starting her on the old standby - the single shot .22, off a bench. We'll work up from there. |

That's good she wants to get out and do this! I hope she can get used to left handed shooting.
Is it unusual for them to have left over tags? Brian |

You can allways "say" she actually did the shooting . . .
You were just there to back her up if she wounded the critter! |

All you have to do is get a few hundred yards off the road, and deer are pretty easy to find. Now, marksmanship is something entirely different. |

Awww darn! Just looked at a moon phase calendar and see I will be hunting during the bright cycle of the moon.
The deer and elk forage and drink at night under the moonlight, then bed down during the day. Makes it a pain in the neck to find them. |
