Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Today my wife helped me put our arch up. The footprint is 9' long x 5.5' wide and a height of 7' in the center. I used 5' t-posts and pounded them in the ground 2' with a sledge hammer. Didn't want to spring for a $28 post tool since I may not ever use it again. Damn I am sore now.

I didn't till the area first but have enough room to do that soon. Close to the bottom of the wire I can do by hand.

The grape vine that I bought is already getting new growth on it while living in virtual darkness in the garage.

Looks good, but where are the interior braces. Any weight at all and that wire is going to buckle on you, even if it is 1/4" wire.

I've dealt with enough of that stuff that you have to be sure it won't 'sway' either.
Once it goes sideways, or buckles down, you will play hell getting it back up, if at all.

No braces yet, it does seem sturdy, that is why I left the t-posts 3' above ground.

Thanks for the advise, it is well taken from a man of experience.
