Reset the trap last night, but the thieving bastard stole the bait (two eggs) and didn't trip the trigger. Had one egg on each side of the trigger... Tonight will be a different story.

That's got to be your system. The pictures are hosted here at the Bunker and I haven't taken them down. They are fairly small .jpg images at ~150kB, as measured on the sim.
