Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

I know TWO guys who DID NOT recover from a saw thrown board.
Yes and they were both hit in the torso.
Both had wood in their belly, one actually died of a heart attack after being hit.

AND, I know several who lived after major injuries.

I can tell a lot of stories about wood work accidents.
Worked in a furniture factory, for a short time. In Portland, Oregon.
An outfit called BP John Furniture.

That is exactly why table saws should be banned.

Seriously I hope that you recover quickly and as well as possible with a wound like that.

I failed wood shop. My Dad was so disappointed until I explained my end. Our teacher was a "butt-patter" for jobs well done. No BS. At 14-15 I didn't go for that shit on the ball field much less a classroom and I wasn't alone. Dude probably made it to retirement without "incident" but he was a creep. Half of my class spent class out back smoking, having a chew, or passed out on 'ludes. All three a better option than class time with the creep. Solid "D" to show up for class and walk out the back door. BTW, I was the one with the chew...I played baseball...kinda a thing. I can count ten or 12 of us, and that was just one school period of a day. We knew other "dropouts" in his other daily classes. Now I need to Google that creep to see if he's in prison or murdered yet? I don't recall any news events, can't be sure something didn't happen...

Seems to me odds weren't in his favor?

Again though, my sincere best wishes towards recovery!

I count myself lucky to have all my digits, especially considering things accomplished and things considered alike. I've injured the hands in work and leisure and thankful everything still, disfigured or not, is still functional.

I went out to my shop to clean it up. I had a lot of stuff piled and disorganized over the Winter. I haven't used my shop much lately.

I've used my table saw for years and all of my other machinery for years. I've learned to respect the machines and learned how to safely use them.

This is my Delta Unisaw. I can slide the rip fence all the way to the far side of the white table board. I have a sled attachment that I can put on it for cross cutting plywood boards. And I have magnetic feather boards that hold the board tight against the rip fence for safely ripping narrow pieces.

Pic was taken with my cellphone. Sam was helping me clean up.

Yep, seen it happen and you can't stop that board.

When table saws are banned only government wood workers will have table saws.
