And F. Lee Bailey, the famed criminal defense attorney, is flat broke.

Last year, Bailey filed for bankruptcy after a string of scandals inside and outside the courtroom left him disbarred and shamed. He was accused of misappropriating funds from his defense of an alleged drug dealer.

Here’s what he had left: a 1999 Mercedes station wagon (gold, of course).

Unable to practice law, Bailey runs a consulting business above the salon.

Holy sheet that is interesting from riches to rags. A friend hired Bailey's law firm years ago out of his Ft. Lauderdale branch office. The office was the size of a football field overlooking Ft. Lauderdale.

A friend of mine wrote the man many years ago from prison, ask him for help…expressed the details of his case, etc.

F. Lee Bailey sent him a box of expensive legal 'how to' books as legal mail…one of which as I recall was the "Prisoners Self-Help Litigation Manual" with a copy of Black's Legal Dictionary. It was an impressive gesture.

I don't understand the vitriol aimed towards the defense team. They did what they were supposed to do, and did it well.
The problem lies with the prosecution.
If I did something or I didn't, if I was charged, I wouldn't mind having that particular team taking my case.
