Help please from the computer guys here?

O.K. I am probably going to buy a new lap top computer. What is happening with this LENOVO G70 is sometimes the screen does not come up for around an hours time?
CenturyLink connection is showing fine I can hear the fan going lights come on but NO image on the screen. Then after an hour the screen comes on?
I don't care about getting a new computer but what the hay is going on?
Thanks in advance for any help.

ADD: Good fast powerful lap top to purchase? Most all for internet browsing.
This LENOVO is like wicked fast along with the CenturyLink.

I like Dell.

Maybe it's doing an update, some updates may take forever and a few minutes more.

Get a Dell with a Solid State Hard Drive. Got my daughter one and that thing is fast.

I think that also Fred its crazy. Sometimes a spinning circle small comes on most times not.
Drives me nuts when I am trying to use the damn thing.

Fred I got on YouTube and went through the fixes for no screen opening up.
Take the back off clean this do that etc. I can take things apart no problema I just can't put them back together.

First they said try unplugging all power shut the computer off disconnect everything wait a few minutes and plug all back in. O.K. It worked.

Yes this computer is constantly updating.
