Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default DDI-12

Anyone have any hands on experience with one of these?

Costs MUCH less than converting my Saiga12 many years ago... I am interested in particulars, not sales brochures.

But just think of the fun we had back then doing it.

This version has a left hand charging handle, AR-15 type selector (safety) on the right thumb, fiber optic sights, including rear sight at the BACK of the receiver cover... things that I had not done to my Saiga12.

They have sold out, but more on the way. For $600, my main concern was whether it functions reliably, and how much trouble it is to fit Saiga12 ten round magazines. This shotgun makes ever so more sense that a Remington 870... IF it functions reliably.

Includes two 5rd Factory magazines and will work with most aftermarket Saiga based mags, Aftermarket mags may require minor fitting .

Marketing verbiage and reality are not always the same.

I tend to trust end users over copy writers.

First off, let me say that I LOVE the AK platform. With that said most all AK pattern shotguns require extensive gunsmithing before they run well enough to stake your life on. I have rarely heard of one of these things running as well as a tube fed pump out of the box. I'm not saying it doesn't happen on occasion. It's just that it's more likely not to.

It's a lot like these chopped Mini 1911's. Take away the slide mass, and in order to compensate, you have to increase slide velocity to compensate. When you start running things too fast, stoppages and bad things start to happen. It's the nature of the beast. As I said I love the AK platform, and own an even dozen examples of it....... But ALL are in 7.62 X 39 MM, not 12 ga.

I'll just stick with my Benelli M4CQB/Entry gun!

I can only speak from personal experience...

This one ran, and ran, and ran, and ran, and ran... and NEVER choked. On ANY type of ammo. And it would empty that 10 round magazine - stuffed with 3", 15 pellet .00 Buck - in under three seconds.
But then - it still used the 19 inch barrel, not a chopped down 12 inch barrel. As far as "gunsmithing"... it was all done in my lap, without even a bench to work on.

The DDI12 is reportedly made in China for DDI, and some have went to crap from the reports I have read.
DDI is regretting farming this one out about now...
Stick with the Saiga or the VEPR.
No personal experience myself, BTW... just what I have read from sources I trust.
