I wish I could afford one.

I am guessing that cost about $2000 more than a Tasco...

I'm sitting here sweating from cutting the front yard & the wife is doing the back. The $50.00 a chilishitter would charge a week, over the 16 years we been here. I might get Elcan in 7.62 & put on the G3K. |

I saved lots of money on hair cut most my adult life too! While not as expensive as the yard boy, it adds up.
Got some youngster on another forum calling me an elitist. Can't stand the fact that others can buy nice shit. Fucking cry baby probably still lives @ home, or is bilking his parents while getting a higher education. We are pretty fucked when it comes to the slack dogs & Free Shit Army flecks of shit being raised these days. Seeing your boy's running the snow blower & spearing coons gives me a ray of hope for the future! |

In a few years, my boys may be the only people in the country doing productive work and paying taxes!
I have posted several times (on a sand niqqer forum) on how guys with ordinary incomes can afford to go hunting in Africa: - Sell the boat. - Sell the motorcycle(s). - Quit going to pro ball games or anything else where they charge admission. - Quit consuming alcohol. Quit tobacco. - Have your satellite tv disconnected ($180/month). - Quit buying clothes. Wear the ones you have. - Quit eating out. - Sell all your guns except for a big bore, a medium bore, a .22 rifle, a shotgun, and your concealed carry handgun. - Go through the house and garage and sell anything you have not used in the past 3 years. - Quit buying gifts for people, even at Christmas. - Don't trade in your car. Keep running it until it drops. - Don't go on vacation. - Don't loan people money. - Join a $10/month guy and spend all your free time there working out. You will be fit, and if you are at the gym, you won't be spending money. For most guys, they will be able to afford an African hunting trip after just 1 year. |

Drunk dude I met when I first moved to Houston. We worked together & he got cut loose because he's a drunk. I run into him living around the corner from me 30 years later. I own my house, he's renting.
He comes over sees the taxidermy, photo's, guns in the pictures, passport & still won't believe it. He sees the toys in the vaults & refuses to believe it. We both have seasonal jobs him butchering deer with other drunks, me selling beer to drunks. He drinks a case of Miller tall balls a day. He buys them 6 pack @ a time from the convenient store .vs on sale @ the grocery store. Having the same job for 30 years .vs him jumping from place to place. Same seasonal job for 16 .vs went out & got drunk & missed work again. |

boon. What is an Elcan? A scope night vision or something???
500grains.. Don't knock Tasco.. Hell they were made in Miami and were super great scopes for the price.. Mine on my .22 is still holding up great.. Some big company Bushnell or somebody bought them out, I think.. But for real, for the price Tasco used too, put out a good product.. Just my experience.

ELCAN stands for Ernst Leitz Canada, who is the manufacturer of various optical systems developed with Raytheon & Hughes Aircraft
What I have is a Specter DR. The DR is for Dual Role. It's a 1.5 power red dot plus with the throw of a lever it's a 6 power scope. It's not night vision, but compatible with a PVS 22 when mounted in front of it. Both the dot & reticle have illuminated adjustable for use with night vision. Mine is set up for 5.56 ballistics. 7.62 & .50 BMG are available. http://www.armament.com/specter-dr-15x6x http://www.elcan.com/Experience/Succ...es/USSOCOM.php |
