Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Not me, but he has the same tent I have. He just doesn't set up the annex down below. I don't always set mine up, either. Especially if it is warm or muddy outside and I don't plan on being on the site for very long.

Good for him, but I think I'll just stay home and feed the fire.

There was a time when if I could not camp out in mother nature...right beside the river...in Yellowstone...or in the Rockys or the Smokys...I was not camping. Now sadly..I have to realistically give tent camping up and stay in lodges and motels.

Yup that is some nice but no more tent camping for me either. Hell I would need a fork lift to get in that set up.

My bucket list has me staying at Old Faithful Lodge in Jellystone for a week. It is truly a fantastic place.

Looks warmer than the tent fly and a couple wool blankets I camped with this weekend, a few rain showers and upper 30's low 40's temps added to our civil war misery. Nothing compared to what those fellows dealt with 158 years ago.

It is a full size mattress in there. Wife and I sleep comfortably, until Bigfoot rubs against the vehicle (well, SOMETHING was rubbing up against it when we were camping in Colorado and an early morning downpour erased any tracks it may have left). That kind of has a way of bringing one out of a deep sleep.

With the lower annex set up, I can run the Heater Buddy with a 5 gal propane tank down below and it will heat up everything to the point you can't stay inside the sleeping bag.

If I'm on a hunting trip up north of Phoenix and it's cold, snowy, or rainy I use a tent. Down here where I live, Yuma, I just throw out a cot and sleeping bag. Fast, easy, simple. Biggest thing down here is if the wind starts blowing, not inclement weather.

I still like tent camping. I'm not fond of camping in temperatures below about 35 degrees though. I did my share of that in the Army.

That thing looks like a pain in the ass.

I have camped out with no tent several times at -20 F. I would not do that with a dog though. With a dog I have not camped below +10F, and that was in a tent.

I have camped in a tent and had 1.5 feet of snow on it that fell between dark and midnight.
