I like how she sang Easter Bonnet in EASTER PARADE. It was originally supposed to be Gene Kelley and Cyd Charisse but Kelley was injured and Astaire got the part. Charisse refused to work without Kelley so Garland got the part. It makes an unintended funny situation if you watch Bing Crosby sing Easter Bonnet in HOLIDAY INN, Fred Astaire is waiting lounged out on a couch on Crosy’s front porch. Seeing EASTER PARADE before watching that scene from HOLIDAY made the casting of Astaire look like a long play gag.

I was wrong, Cyd Charisse had a supporting role and snapped some tendons. Judy was always the lead.
 If you're Viola Bailey then fuck me.
