Just by way of introducing myself...
While I own a LARGE number of smokless cartridge weapons, when it comes to 'differences of opinion', I'm a TRIFLE oldfashoned!

Welcomr to the Mr. Blammer.!
Now then, those have sights so they are either very late model duelers or a "matched pair".The lettering goes "greek" with enlargement so I can't tell. I'm guessing modern replica but it looks like some use so ..... Tell us about them, please. Never mind the folks who never had occasion to leaarn that ML pistols in any caliber over .40 were POWERFUL weapons, and repeat shots weren't likely to be required.. Did I say Welcome? Well ... I meant it!! Regards, |

I love those old pistols, and replicas of them just as much.
I don't know why I never got any more BP pistols or muzzleloaders, though. Hmmm...the wife's birthday is coming up and she did say she likes "pirate" pistols.....

I've done a fair amount of shooting the Holy black in my days. Only part of it that I don't enjoy is the cleanup afterward.
A large percent of the members of this forum don't necessarily agree with my preference in firearms. I'm not much into AKs, although I own a few. To each his own, all firearms are good.

Well, since someone asked........
What I posted is a matched cased set of Moore & Patrick percussion pistols = replicas of the English originals from the early 1820's made by Pedersoli.
9" rifled barrels, browned finish, polished steel locks, .45Cal. takes a .451 round ball with an oiled silk patch. The sights and singleset triggers are a giveaway that the set were not intended to be duellers, but were likely "home Defense" weapons. I have shot about 1000 loads total through each = Cleanup is time consuming & messy, but the smoke, flame & holes in the 20-pace target that don't require a spotting scope are a FUN way to spend an afternoon at the range without having to expend a lot of $ on that newfangled CF & rimfire ammo. Tends to attract spectators too I have MORE of these weapons crowding my locker that I'll pull out & brag on on occasion. = Just an FYI, Nice place you guys have here Blam
