Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default No sound...

No sound at all from our PC's monitor which has integral speakers.

PC - ASUS Essentio Model M11AD

Monitor - ASUS HDMI

There are no separate connecting cables/wired from PC to monitor on this
system; it's all (video and sound) carried by one connection.

I've tried every setting I can find, but nothing seems to be out of order....
and yet, no sound.

Not casting stones or anything, but everything was A-OK when I signed off
and clocked out early this morning. No names mentioned, but neither the
dogs nor the parrot had access to the PC since, so it wasn't them that lost it.

Any thoughts from the knowledgeable ones here as to what I may be missing...
other than beaucoup bucks for a new monitor?

Rick, which version of Winders are you running? If it is 10, it likes to take and change some items to no connection. Try settings in your monitor and see if you can reset them. W10 just had an update, so that could be where your problem lies.

Sometimes it can be something simple

that I've overlooked, it seems...

Does your keyboard have a mute button

Maybe check in the settings or control

board?...

When mine takes a dump I usually

end up calling on one of my children...

Windows 7 - we're still in the 20th century I guess.

Monitor settings already checked, but I could be missing something. I'll take
another look.

No mute button.

I'm going to another keyboard anyway; but I don't see that making any difference.

Glad you got it fixed. I was going to suggest you ask your neighbor's 12 year old son.
