First boar on our land
The hunting team were out this morning and one of the guests shot the first wild boar to be shot on our land.
It was a single sow, we are guessing close to 200 lb. :thumb: It now hangs in my garage for a week. |

Good size hog.Do you have to have the meat tested becouse of the Chernobyl
Nuclear Power Plant from the 70s?I read a story that wild hogs in germany must be tested.

Nice looking hog.. Here in America the population is becoming a menace.
They are doing tremendous amounts of damage too farmers crops. By mixing with domestic hogs. They are also getting much larger in the wild. In Florida here, they can legally be shot on private land year round. Enjoy your meal. Good shooting.

We do need to send a sample in for testing for trichinella. It's fairly rare that they have it, but you don't want to take any chances. |

Had an an acquaintance, several years ago, who thought it was great pig hunting sport to crawl through the brush, after pig, with a TC pistol.
"It really gets the adrenalyn pumpin'" was his attitude. :: |

Sounds more like a great way to get covered with ticks and snake bit in the face to me.
