Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Question for airplane buffs

Yesterday I was out in my yard and a couple of WWII fighter planes flew over my house from NW to SE. I couldn't get to my camera
in time to snap a picture.

Today I heard a couple of planes flying over and grabbed my camera. I could tell by the sound they were moving fairly fast. I had
only a 300mm lens on it and by the time I got outside they were about 3 or 4 miles away; and that's past the extreme for a 300mm lens.

They weren't WWII craft but I snapped a photo. I noticed the V shaped tail. Anyone know what they are?

What was wrong with V-tail Bonanza pilots? | Air Facts Journal
https://airfactsjournal.com/2012/06/...was-wrong-with...
Jun 11, 2012 · A few commenters compared the discussion with ones about the Beech V-tail (Model 35) Bonanzas a long time ago. That airplane was actually referred to by many as the “V-tail doctor killer” back in its heyday. If anything, the V-tail Bonanza was even more controversial than the Cirrus.

Are they the ones where the yoke rotates to either seat?

Stephen King mentioned in one of his long winded tangents that doctors were the worst pilots and accounted for the most fatal crashes mostly killing themselves. It was either in PET SEMATARY or THE TOMMYKNOCKERS IIRC.

You would have a field day down here with your cameras Pogo Florida is loaded with old WWII plane museums. Nice one in Deland few miles from here.

Florida Air Museums

Every so often the old WWII planes fly over the house. But about once a month the fighter jets come screaming over on the way to the Pine Castle range.
I used to run out to look now I don't even look up.

Dr. Killers. At one time a lot of doctors bought them and many got killed in them for lack of training on their "runaway rudder' condition. Very good planes though.

I owned a C-model bonanza for 28 years, it was fast and a great flying airplane.

The Fouga Magister trainers used that same "V" tail, copied from Beech. It's a very efficient design.
