Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

I think there was a thread about that once

Hard to find and very expensive

I think that they can be converted to center

fire, but I don't think that would help the value

IIRC there was a company in south America that

made RF ammo but I think that went out of business

Edit...

A quick search of Gun Broker shows that there is

some old .44 RF but it is expensive...

The good news is that a quick YouTube search shows

that RF is reloadable, not easy but it can be done...

Yes I gave a quick Google search and they stopped production. Would have been a good investment as .20 and .30 cent rounds are going for $3 to $4 on Gunbroke if they ever come up for sale?

There are some cases made which put a small pistol primer pocket on the rim for these old rimfires, but they have to be aligned just right in the chamber to make sure the firing pin strikes the primer.

Not a good solution when surrounded by hostiles.

The one I got in today...Looks just like that one. Except for no saddle ring and not a ding on it.

Guess I’m too short on money to bid, ffl friend had a old octagonal barrel Winchester on consignment that was priced at $5000, now that $5k seems like a deal.

It would be cool to have a piece of history like that, on the other hand that’s all it’s good for. If you shot it, it would devalue it. So then it just becomes bragging rights on the inter webs and circle jerk material for rich gun dudes. You can buy a hell of a lot modern firearms and ammo for $12,000.
Apologies to any rich gun dudes that jerk off to their Uber expensive rare firearms that can’t be shot for fear of devaluation. It is their property and I’m not judging.
