ORICO SuperSpeed USB3.0 & eSATA to SATA External Hard Drive Docking Station for 2.5" & 3.5" HDD, SSD
Newegg has them on sale for $16.99 and maybe free shipping.
If anybody's interested I can PM the link, as I don't want to advertise in an open forum. Brian

Thanks for the link. I've been needing one and that price is a steal.

I've got a couple hard drives that had the case hardware go bad. This will allow me to get them back in service.

Well, the darned thing seems to work pretty good. I tried it on a "dead" drive and managed to get it formatted and readable again. I used to eSATA cable, as the motherboard on this computer has the eSATA jack in the back. Hey... That rhymes!
I had some points from Newegg, so it cost me $12.39 shipped. Brian |

Mine arrived yesterday. I'll hook it up today and see if I can get it to read this 5T hard drive I've got.

Been using this device for about a month and it's working great. I rejuvenated an old 360gig drive I thought was dead and have been using it since. I used Linux to do the hard work of formatting and repartitioning it, half NTFS and half ext4 partitions. I have a 17gig swap file on the primary drive, so I just use that. I use the ext4 partition for testing Linux distributions and the NTFS if I want to use the Windows partition off the primary drive and keep crap off it.

Wish I knew how to clean up my puter. Down to 16% useable space.
I may be out of the mix when this puter dies. |

CCleaner works pretty well. Move anything you want to keep, as in pictures and whatnot to portable disks (CD's, DVD's), then put CCleaner to work.
Just be careful, because CCleaner can do too good of job. Brian |

I use CCleaner all the time. Especially when the cookies quit working.
Something is loading up my 'puter with crap. I need something to clean out what ever is loading up crap on my 'puter. Either that or another unit. |
