Potential Florida State Record Bass Caught and released in 2015
"Dave Ochs will likely be the hot topic in Florida bass fishing communities this week. Pictures and reports surfaced this week of what is being said to be a 19-pound bass that Ochs caught on a Yamamoto Senko on Lake Kissimmee Thursday, July 23, 2015. Ochs weighed the fish on an uncertified scale and the bass weighed 19.2 pounds on his scale. It was 27 inches long with a girth of 24 inches. Ochs could not fit the bass in his livewell so he snapped a picture and released it back into the lake."
http://www.scout.com/outdoors/wired2...rd-bass-caught From 2015 but I just caught this article. If Mr. Ochs had kept the big girl he would have gotten an immediate check for $10,000. Now plus endorsements for any equipment used including the boat company, motor, etc. $$$ Knowing she would die from being in the live well he released her. Mr. Ochs is the sportsman's sportsman. I spent bucks on my boat gear etc. then when the fish look at me I let em go and go to the store and buy fish. Fish is supposed to be brain food.

Ochs did the right thing to let it go. That is a trophy fish and they got a picture of it, that is their trophy and proof of catch.
