I mean it! REALLY stay away from those Llama compacts!! I think I hit a catfish when I tossed it in the river. Buy quality, and you usually only cry once!

Scheister: We all have a POS laying around. Never sell your grandfathers gun, you should be applauded for keeping it, no matter what variety of hooptie it is. I could never be ashamed of my grandfather's stuff. It shows that you had a high level of respect for him by not getting rid of his effects.

I've had both the Kel-Tec P3AT and the P-11. The only one I really miss is the little P3AT and may one day replace.Even if I were wearing swim trunks the little bastard would still be comfortable to carry.
Even though my Kahr is DAO also, there is just no comparing the KT's trigger pulls to it. Its soooooo smooooooooth!

I keep a round in the chamber and I don't worry at all about it discharging by accident. I would probably not carry around a Glock like I do this Kahr or my old KTs. Another thing that I like is that I don't have a safety to mess/w. |

The P3AT is quite a compact little sucker, but I sure don't like shooting it. I don't like the trigger pull, myself. I also don't like the snappy recoil. The Detonics, even though it's .45 ACP has less recoil than the P3AT in .380 ACP. Probably due to the greater weight, so I guess it's apples to oranges.
That is.......if I still had any firearms, and hadn't sold them all. |

I'm probably too old school to ever change. I still prefer wheel guns.

Wheel guns have never been my thing, the only one I have even though about though was an airweight just because the thing is so damn light and small and I can get it in a caliber I like. |

I know what you're saying Scheister but down here with near triple digit temps and 90% humidity carrying a 1911 is downright impractical if not near impossible. Our clothing is never worn thick enough to cover something that huge conceiled. Heck,,,,I don't own a single undershirt and wear only a light windbreaker 99% of our winter. And I can't stand the cold! LOL (anything under 60 degrees)

Pogo: nobody hates Dao like I do but the Kahr is light and smooth with a clean break. It is far better than a Glock or Sig in double action. For what it is worth my gunsmith said the Kahr is the only gun that he has never seen returned for service at the shops where he has worked. He is one picky SOB so if he says they are good you can take that advice to the bank. Mine functions flawlessly.
75_stingray is right on in his assessment. If I think of it I will post a pic of it in its carry configuration. I too have a small frame and it is hard for me to conceal during the hot summers in in TN. |
