My old Sig 226
Well after to much time & energy & a few dollars I have upgraded my Sig Sauer 226 into a suppressed pistol with a Trijicon SRO. I bought a case of Fiocchi 258 grain subsonics that would not cycle the action. It really pisses me off as the old Italian version are very quit & cycle. That SRO is tits. Great for getting on target fast& even better for my watery ass eyes(I have dry eye disease and the water non stop). Yesterday I got it sighted in at 50 yards banging the 3 inch plates on a dueling tree. |

Looks like fun! I'd pop a coyote with that, except maybe the subsonic stuff wouldn't be fast enough to catch Wile E. He can really go when he feels threatened.

I had an RMR optic on one of my pistols and finally took it off. I just got tired of searching for the dot every time I pulled the pistol up to aim.

Wife and I were in a new gun store the other day and she saw some of the optics on the pistols. Now she wants one. I told her we'd have to get her a new pistol, because nothing we have will take one and I don't want to pay the cost of conversion.

I really like my set up. My eyes water a lot & when I really push my eyes the water even more. Even with blurry eye sight I have no problem picking up the dot. The dot does have adjustment for its size & I like the smaller sized dot. The dot also adjusts down enough that I can use my PVS -14 with it. |

I have one just like it I bought around 2005, minus the can. Best auto pistol I've ever owned.

What I really would like is to find a holster that allows for the surrpressor to say attached & with a cut for the SRO. The closest thing is a London Bridge Trading holster made for the S.E.A.L.'s. It $250.00 & has no optic cut. |

Hang onto that German 226 - they aren't being made there anymore. |

One thing that pissed me off about Sig was I bought a factory threaded barrel. First they only offered it in one thread pitch metric at that. The big thing was the new barrels locking lug needed to be honed down. When I called Sig about why didn't the say it may need fitting, they got all indignant. I told the guy I get it Y'all get a government contract & start acting like H&K. Sig hates you too. |

I bet if you talked to him, he'd be able to come up with something like it for your Sig. Never hurts to ask, anyway. |
