It's all about making money for the attorney.
They know that Lowes settled in a similar lawsuit back in 2014. http://www.remodeling.hw.net/busines...requirements_o Now its time to take Home Depot, and Menards to the bank

Lumber has always been called by its nominal size, not its finished size, in the
trade and in the lumber yard. Anyone who's ever done any woodwork will know this. I smell an ambulance chaser at work here.

Been laughing about this for awhile. Ask paco which he prefers stuffed.
Been working on a 160yr old farmhouse for almost 30 years. Sawmill cut framing, locust logs on a stacked stone foundation. Making do is the order of the day. I bruised a fingernail and fell off the roof. Who can I sue and who cares? |

That's so fucking dumb. Everyone with a working brain knows what the lumber industry standards are.
On another note the wife and went to Springfield, Il last fall. We went to a Menards store and I didn't want to leave until I saw the whole store. The store was the size of at least a Home Depot and a Lowes and then some. Wish that there were some here.

If I ever go to a lumberyard where 2 x4 is 2X4? I'll know I've died.

Not done. Steam powered sawmills, three hundred year old trees drug down the mountain by mules. Split with mauls. Sounds of thrashing in the fields.
Cotton being picked, fresh corn and taters. Granny's brown eggs scrambled up. America. |

When we first bought the farm I contracted for a bunk of 1x6 rough cut lumber.
And it was 1"x6" unplaned. I built a bunch of stuff out of that single bunk of wood. |

Just a thought - IIRC we called a 2x4 a 4x2 in the old country
where the old style of longest dimension was expressed first. (This obviously refers to the cross section of the piece, not its running length.) |

Totally bogus lawsuit. I'd not only throw the case out, I would beat the plantifs and their lawyer to death as just punishment to boot.
