Mora knives from Sweden incredibley sharp and well made
I bought the filet knife and it is as sharp as a razor and well made. Semi flexible just enough to do the job.
Steve mentioned the Mora and I was not sure we were talking the same knife? Price is decent on these also. I own Heinkels I use in the kitchen for most cutting but am planning on getting more Morakniv's. http://www.moraofsweden.se/home

I've given Mora utility knives to a lot of folks for gifts.
Martini out of Finland makes a similar knife, but a little different, with the same good prices and high quality. I just need to add a Norwegian knife or two to my Scandinavian collection.

I've always wanted a traditional Mora knife but haven't gotten around to buying one.

I finally got around to it. I ordered a Mora knife. I'll post a picture when it arrives.

I bought it in 1968 at a camping lodge in Vermillion Bay, Ontario when I was on a fishing trip. I'll bet I've filleted close to a ton of fish since then with that knife. |
