Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Nikon is quitting the riflescope market - and there are some great deals to be had

A few months ago, it emerged that Nikon was planning to quit the riflescope market. This was sad news, because Nikon has produced high-quality offerings in the mid-range section of that market; but the company apparently wants to concentrate its efforts on consumer optics such as binoculars, camera lenses and the like. One can't argue with that tighter focus (you should pardon the expression).

On the other hand, this means there are some great deals to be had on the company's remaining stock of riflescopes, particularly those already in vendor's stocks. (No, I'm not being paid to advertise them, or receiving any compensation of any nature. I've just taken advantage of the closeout prices available on Nikon scopes right now, and I'd like my readers to be aware of them too. Why not share a good thing?)

I was hoping for the D750 camera to come down in price after they came out with a new one, not a chance, they keep their prices firm and make sellers abide by their prices, so don't hold your breath.

You should get a new Nikon D5 with dual XQD slots.

I'm rich because I don't throw money away. D5 , heck even the D850 is more than what I need. D750 will do just fine if I ever get it, it has to come down in price before I can justify buying one. I looked at the new one, the technology used is geared for video, as far a still photography there is no real advantage over the 750. My neighbor has a 750, he is a professional photographer, semi-retired, I've seen some of his work with it.

When you throw in the lenses, filters, flash, etc it becomes a very expensive toy. You could always buy the new Hassleblad H6D-400, or buy a house

That sucks I like Nikon scopes they are relatively cheap and clear, I pretty much only have them on my rifles except a bsa and some other one on a little pea shooter.

Many years ago I shot weddings then I did some modeling work with my brother in law, then I gave it up for a long time. Eventually the bug bit me again, but this time everything was digital. My last film pictures I took back in 2005 after replacing the seals on my Nikon F3, then one of my sons said he'd like to keep the film equipment so he has it all. A Nikon F-3, A twin lens Rolleiflex medium format, flash, lenses, filters even the bag.
